We've had a lovely few days in Roma, where the traditional owners of the land are the Mandandanji people. The best way to get to really know a place is to be shown around by a local, and we've been lucky enough to have a guided tour of all the sights Roma has to offer with our mates, Chris and Paddy.
Chris grew up in Roma and we've had a fun time visiting all the old haunts, learning about Roma's history and hearing stories of childhood pranks and neighbourhood scandals. And among all that we've ticked a few admin tasks off our list; taken a quick trip to the emergency vet to tend to a broken toenail on the brown Lab (always on a Sunday!); scheduled a long overdue haircut; had a pretty decent take away curry (the first so far, believe it or not); and Loretta's finally had her first service. All in all, a very enjoyable and productive few days with pretty good weather to cap it all off. Here are a few snaps taken around town including Roma's Biggest Bottle Tree, a Big Digger, and the Big Rig.
It'll be sad to say goodbye to these two when we part company and go our separate ways on Thursday. But the north beckons and there might just be another reunion in a few weeks. But don't tell the Labs.
Another great story Barb … were not tiring of them … Thank you!
