Old Mildura Homestead

Today began with another romp around the dog park. More specifically, the Labs had a romp - I'm too old for that caper. Then we took yet another long stroll along the Murray. I'm going to miss this river when we eventually move on.

This time we headed in the other direction along the Chaffey Trail, past Lock 11 and the Old Mildura Homestead, the site of Mildura's first settlement in 1847. The Trail takes in several places of interest along the river and around town and is a well maintained and pretty walking, cycling or running track if you're into that sort of thing.

Here are some photos we took along the way, including one featuring the long-suffering Labradors in an old drop dunny (no longer used, I hasten to add). I keep telling them if they had opposable thumbs and an eye for composition they might be able to take some of the photos instead of continually having to pose for them. They seem unimpressed.
