My dog pen is great. The dogs love the freedom of not being tied up when we're camped. And I'm happy they're not tangling themselves up and pulling guy ropes out of the ground. But there's the tricky question of where to store the thing when we're on the move.
My first thought was on the roof of the car. Fine apart from the putting it up there and getting it down again. Next was the suggestion that I store it on the bed when we're travelling from A to B. Kind of a pain to get in and out of Loretta's door and it meant that I had to get it off the bed if we were just doing an overnighter. For the next leg, I got lazy and stacked it half standing up in the back of the car, taking up most of the dogs' travel space and risking the panels sliding around and damaging the car.
But when you get a group of creative, handy women together you can achieve just about anything - as long as there's a Bunnings nearby. So today's task was constructing a shelf to go into the back of the Subi where the fence could be easily stored and still leave enough room for the doggos to relax on long journeys. Job done!
