We're now in Echuca where the traditional custodians of the land are the Yorta Yorta people. We've joined a few mates - canine and human - and we're all camped here for several nights enjoying the richness of the Murray basin. Lots of great food, wine and coffee to be had. The Labs and I have decided to stay put for an extra couple of nights. The whole moving house thing has finally hit, and after a couple of overnighters getting here, we're a little bit exhausted. So we're just taking time to breathe before we move on.
Before the rain came today, we and our fellow campers boarded the PS Canberra for an hour-long cruise along the Murray from the Port of Echuca. Very relaxing, beautiful scenery and super-dog friendly. The doggos all did very well on their maiden voyage, although Juddy and our friend Chai (Border Collie) were a bit perturbed by the vessel's frequent hooting. Stanley, of course, tried to escape under the railings and test the water. Here are some photos of our day.
