Over the past couple of days we've bid farewell to our travelling companions. They've headed back to their homes and we begin our solo journey. It was both daunting and exciting to shed our training wheels and head off in our own direction.
Today, after a final frolic in the Moama dog park, we made our way to Deniliquin, or "Deni" as the locals call it. The Wamba Wamba people are the traditional custodians. Deni's a funny little town. Home to the famous Deni Ute Muster and seemingly one pub for every 10 inhabitants. It also has one of the most beautiful and well-kept nature trails I've ever walked along. This afternoon we took in about 5km of the Beach to Beach Riverside Walk and Island Sanctuary and enjoyed some lovely scenery along the Edward River. Then Juddy ate something very dead and truly disgusting, completely ruining the ambiance.
We'll give it another go tomorrow, assuming we all survive the night.
Looks beautiful.
I love that you keep us up-to-date on which Country you're in. And Juddy, I'm sure, would think you'd be disappointed if he didn't eat something dead and left it for others! 🙄
I hope the best good luck follows you Barb. I look forward to stories of your adventures, travails and just funny shit. Lots of photos with the odd one of humans too please. 😘
