This is the travel blog of Juddy and Stanley (the Labs) and me, Barb. This is where we'll share with you all the sights, stories, highlights and maybe a few low-lights of our travels around the country in our home on wheels,  Homer (pronouns Ho/Hum).  Despite the name of this site, there is no Penguin named Loretta.  She served us well for nearly two years but has now gone to a new home, replaced by a vehicle with solid walls, a bathroom and air-conditioning.  It's all about the creature comforts for us three.

We packed up our goods and chattels in April 2022 and set off in search of warm weather and adventure. Since then, we've had plenty of both - a fair bit of cold, wet and windy weather and a reasonable amount of drama.   After a couple of years exploring both sides of this enormous and beautiful country, we've only just scratched the surface so there are plenty more adventures ahead on our "Lap of the Dogs".
